For this Lit Circle my group and I chose to read the next 4 chapters of Holler If You Hear Me written by the teacher Gregory Michie. In these next few chapters Michie writes about his transition from a substitute teacher to an actually certified teacher. I enjoyed these readings because I thought it was interesting how his Latino students felt about there heritage. A part that stood out to me was when the students were speaking about how they felt about they're nationality or heritage and how they felt they weren't sure where they belong because they weren't seen as Americans in America but weren't seen as Mexican by Mexicans.
